Dr Vrunda Karanjgaokar,Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist, Colposcopist and Robotic Surgeon with 27 years of experience.
Having qualified from Grant Medical College, Mumbai in 1995, she completed postgraduate training (MD) from Bombay Hospital in 1998.
She has worked at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Gynaecological Oncology Department and completed a Fellowship in Gynaecological Endoscopy at Bombay Academy for Minimally Invasive Surgery (BEAMS), before moving to UK in 2001 for further training in her areas of interest namely: Complex General Gynaecology, Gynaecological Oncology, Preventive Oncology and Minimal Access Surgery.
While in the UK, she completed the five-year Specialist Training Programme in London and a two and a half year Fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology at Cancer Centre in Wolverhampton and acquired accreditations in Gynaecological Oncology, Colposcopist and Gynaecological Ultrasound and was a Consultant in the National Health Service, UK before returning to Mumbai in 2011.
She has received extensive training from some of the world’s leading Surgeons in India and the UK and has treated more than a thousand patients with Cancers and other Gynaecological conditions.
She completed the Robotic Surgical Training Programme and doing Robotic Gynaecological Surgeries such as Hysterectomy.
She has published in peer-reviewed journals on the subject internationally on Endometriosis, Oncology and Minimal Access Surgery.
She is attached to several Multispeciality Hospitals in Mumbai with Private Consulting Rooms in Shivaji Park.
