Dr. Satej Shankar Mhaskar is a highly trained Paediatric Surgeon and Paediatric Urologist with extensive experience in India and the United Kingdom.
He completed his MBBS from Pune and DNB in General Surgery from KIMS Hospital, Hyderabad. He obtained his M.Ch. in Paediatric Surgery from the prestigious Seth G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, where he also pursued a Fellowship in Minimal Access Paediatric Surgery.
Dr. Mhaskar received advanced training in the UK through the International Surgical Training Programme (ISTP) of the Royal College of Surgeons, England. He completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Urology at Nottingham and served as an International Training Fellow in Neonatal and Paediatric Surgery at Norwich, where he also worked as Senior Clinical Fellow in Neonatal and Paediatric Surgery.
He further enhanced his expertise at the world-renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), London, completing a Fellowship in Paediatric Urology and later working as a Locum Consultant Paediatric Urologist. Dr. Mhaskar also served as Locum Consultant Paediatric Surgeon and Paediatric Urologist at the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT), UK and continues as an Honorary Researcher at GOSH, London.
He holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Paediatric Surgery, the Fellowship of the European Board of Paediatric Surgery (FEBPS), and the Fellowship of the European Academy of Paediatric Urology (FEAPU).
Dr. Mhaskar has authored 19 publications in peer-reviewed journals and presented his work at regional, national, and international conferences. He is actively involved in training and mentoring junior doctors and has a keen interest in research and innovation in paediatric surgical care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mhaskar enjoys drawing, painting, and swimming.
