She is dedicated to applying evidence-based interventions and advanced technology—such as POCUS and tailored hemodynamics—to safeguard the lives of the most vulnerable infants and children." She is also recognised teacher at National Board in Pediatrics and teacher of IAP-PICC fellowship programme.
She possesses specialized expertise in navigating high-complexity clinical scenarios, specifically the management of the difficult airway and challenging vascular access in pediatric patients. Her practice is further defined by a mastery of Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS)—for which she serves as National Faculty—and a deep clinical focus on infectious diseases within the ICU setting."

Her landmark study on setting blood pressure targets in the PICU was honoured as one of the Top 5 Pediatric Intensive Care papers at the 2026 Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) Annual Conference in Chicago, USA. Beyond this, Dr. Amita Kaul has contributed extensively to the literature on invasive blood pressure monitoring in both the NICU and PICU, the role of vasopressin in PPHN, and the use of probiotics in VLBW infants, alongside critical reflections on the impact of COVID-19 lockdowns on pediatric mental health."
