Surya Hospitals Partners with Mamta Bal Sadan

Surya Hospitals has partnered with Mamta Bal Sadan, a non-profit organization. Mamta Bal Sadan is a home for orphaned and abandoned girls, established in 1994 by the Padm Shree late Dr. Sindhutai Sapkal, lovingly known as the “Mother of Orphans.” Located in Kumbharvalan village near Saswad in Pune district, Maharashtra, the home is run under the Saptasindhu Mahila Aadhar, Balsangopan va Shikshan Sanstha trust. It provides a nurturing environment where girls receive food, shelter, education, healthcare, and vocational training. Beyond basic care, Mamta Bal Sadan supports the girls through important life stages, including higher education, employment, and marriage. The home is currently managed by Mr. Deepak Gaikwad, Sindhutai’s first adopted son, who continues her mission. Unlike many institutions, Mamta Bal Sadan does not enforce an age limit for the girls to leave; they are encouraged to stay until they are self-reliant. The home is a true reflection of Sindhutai Sapkal’s lifelong dedication to empowering the underprivileged and giving every child a chance at a dignified and secure future.
