Meet Varad
2.5 years old who survived rare Pneumonia after 150+ days on a VentilatorVed Suryavanshi was just 2.5 years old when he was diagnosed with a rare type of Pneumonia, bilateral Pneumonia, which is marked by severe inflammation and scarring of the Lungs. When he was brought to the hospital, he presented with symptoms like Fever, Cold, Cough, and Breathlessness. After the diagnosis was made, our team acted very swiftly to ensure robust care. X-Ray results clearly showed that nearly 80 percent of his lungs were infected with Streptococcus pneumoniae. Our experts decided to put him on a mechanical ventilator, which did have certain risks of its own; however, our team strived to ward off all the risks and facilitate his swift recovery. His air pockets were carefully drained using a catheterization technique. After months of care and advanced interventions like tracheostomies and the insertion of chest tubes, normal breathing was restored. Even after being discharged, we remained committed to ensuring his ongoing care through regular follow-ups. His parents received thorough guidance on tracheostomy care, which helped them easily provide support at home. Varad is now in good health, breathing effortlessly, and enjoying life just like any other child of his age.
