Meet Surya

Born with four heart defects, Baby Surya underwent successful heart correction without invasive procedures. Baby Surya was born weighing just 2.66 kg. Within 72 hours of his birth, he was diagnosed with a severe blood infection and had to be hospitalized. 

After thorough evaluation and assessments, doctors discovered that Surya was born with not one but 4 heart defects, something his parents had never even heard about. During this challenging period, the family maintained unwavering faith in our medical team.

Surya was shifted to the ICU where doctors tried to fix one of the defects. On 10th September, an emergency procedure was performed in the Cath Lab to address 3 of the heart defects in one go, and it was a great success. He is one of the youngest patients to have undergone the procedure, that too as such a low birth rate. 

Surya was removed from the ventilator within 8 hours following the procedure. Despite spending the majority of his first four months in the NICU, he is now leading a healthy life just like any other child of his age.
