Responsible for : Overall Pathology related all activities

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and keeping the operating room before the conduct of surgery.
- Preparations the operating room before and after surgery.
- Maintains and keeps the operating room and ensures everything is running smoothly before the conduct of surgery.
- Cleanse and disinfect surgical equipment before and after surgeries.
- Maintains and keeps all surgical tools sterile and orderly.
- Maintains and keeps all equipment clean and functional.
- Order and maintain adequate necessary supplies in the operating room.
- Prepare necessary equipment prior to procedure/surgery.
- Assists in bringing the patient to the operating room.
- Attends to the needs of the patient while inside the operating room.
- Assist surgeon during the procedure.
- Assist nursing staff in keeping patient safe during the procedure by assisting RN with the application of restraints and following the recommended protocol.
- Provides assistance to the surgical team and coordinates very closely with the doctors, nurses.
- Clean and disinfect operating room area after each procedure/surgeries with the help of housekeeping staff.
- Reports any defective equipment and instrument for repair or replacement inform immediately OT Incharge.
- Assist other staff in shifting the patient for PACU.
- Will be responsible for any other duties assigned by the Reporting Authority from time to time.
Skill Set:
- Ability to comprehend verbal instructions given by the In charge – OT or supervisor of the department.
- To understand and apply knowledge of medical terminology.
- To think independently and exercise ones own judgment in determining actions during Emergencies.
- Have an affinity for teamwork.
- Ability to comprehend written instructions given by the supervisors and the other related departmental personnel.
- Ability to plan & organize ones work schedule effectively.
- Being a service provider listening and speaking are essential requirements to understand and carry out the instructions given by users.
